Shoal Creek Water Filter Plant

  • Atlanta, GA
  • 350,000 sf
  • 2005

This filter plant consists of 14 buildings on 87 acres with the ability to double the capacity in the future. The major design objectives enclose the complex, accommodate personnel needs, chemical storage, and the water treatment processes. The site dictated much of the architecture, engineering and planning. Many of the buildings have two entries at varying levels due to the grade change. Low profile building forms were used to minimize the impact to this rural site.
