We encourage clients to take an active role in their projects. Our excellence is exemplified by the number of clients who continue to work with us or refer us to their industry counterparts.
MARKETS WE SERVE
TRANSIT

TRANSIT
Our Transit and Transportation projects types are intensely focused on serving the public. Providing a positive experience for the customer is essential. Whether it relates to a transit system, airport or highway system, safety, security, timely service, convenience and accessibility to the public are critical to daily operations. Architecture is an integral part in accomplishing our clients’ project goals. Our projects vary from a quant historic renovation of a bridge tender’s house on a swing span bridge to the restoration of an 1850′s brick train tunnel. Facilities for Department of Transportation include welcome centers and truck weigh stations on the interstate system and regional bus facilities. Transit stations on heavy rail systems and a people mover maintenance facility at the world’s busiest airport are examples of our rail experience. We have teamed with nationally known airport design teams to renovate and expand concourses and designed pedestrian and transit connector tunnels. Support facilities such as train and bus control centers and maintenance facilities are in our portfolio as well.
INFRASTRUCTURE

INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure is a category of work that is generally referred to as public works projects. The public is usually unaware of these important facilities such as water filter plants and water reclamation facilities – until things don’t work. Their cost can be from millions to hundreds of millions of dollars — and they do require architecture. These facilities are now being located in more populated urban environments and suburban communities. Therefore, they require a more aesthetic contextual approach than previously customary. They are also garnering more attention because of the concerns over clean water conservation and its condition when we return it to our rivers and lakes. Historians have stated that clean water has had more impact on human civilization than any other element or development. We take pride in contributing architecture that is essential to the everyday lives of so many people. These projects are the ultimate response to sustainability because it all starts with water.
HIGHER EDUCATION

HIGHER EDUCATION
Higher Education is integral to the success of our practice. Projects range from pre-design services such as master planning and programming, through construction. Our portfolio includes major library and classroom buildings, laboratories, career training facilities for medical technologies, dental hygiene, cosmetology, building trades, student services, dormitories, recreation facilities, conference centers and administrative support facilities. We believe a successfully designed building not only responds to the functional requirements of the end user, but also has structural integrity balanced with contextual design and aesthetic grace. Today in the higher education arena, design from an aesthetic perspective is an important marketing tool for institutions to draw students.
